75-Ball Bingo
75-ball Bingo is the style of bingo most played in America. It is played with square bingo cards divided into five rows and five columns. This gives you 25 squares. Each square (except for the middle one) features a number that can be anywhere from 1 to 75, and these numbers correspond to the numbers in the tumbler. Of course, online bingo doesn't use a real tumbler. Instead they use random number generators, which generate random numbers like a tumbler otherwise would. The middle square is left blank, marked or coloured in, or has the words "Free Space" written on it. This means it counts as already daubed.
Daubing and Patterns
Though often there is a possibility to switch off the automatic daub feature and manually mark the numbers on your card when they are called, it is safer to leave auto-daub on and never miss a number. Sometimes 75-ball Bingo games will feature patterns. This could be in combination with a full card prize, but in some games the pattern is the only prize. The patterns in 75-ball Bingo can be anything, and are only restricted by the amount of squares (25, with the middle one daubed) that the designer of the pattern has to work with. Patterns can be a simple line, or a picture, such as a heart or a kite.
Prizes
For 75-ball Bingo the prices of bingo cards will vary per room, and so will the prize money. In games where there is a prize for a pattern and as well as a prize for a full card, the pattern prize is often smaller than the full card prize, and really counts as a sort of bonus (if you win the pattern you still have a chance at winning the full card prize too). 75-ball Bingo also comes in shared jackpot variations, where you can win part of the prize as runner up. The amount of prize money offered per game often depends on card prices as well as the amount of players buying cards in a room.
